Thompson Custom Castings
We specialize in creating custom casts of virtually any type. Your custom cast can be created from drawings or existing parts. Every step, from pattern to completion, including casting, machining, and supplying completed assemblies, is done within our facility. We understand that specialty parts can cover a wide range of castings and alloys; that is why we provide you with a wide assortment of different alloys. Examples of custom projects that we have done include reproducing an obsolete double volute high pressure pump casing, creating a crankshaft for a 2 cylinder vintage car, castings for several steam railway engines, and reproductions of window frames for a building restoration in Vancouver.
Rare Vintage Car parts
We have one customer who has called upon us to produce castings for several of his "projects". Over the past few years we have produced cylinder heads for a pre 1910 car, custom hot rod model T ford engine block, cylinder heads for another car. Other customers have come to us with various castings for vintage cars and trucks, such as muffler ends, exhaust manifolds, fender brackets, steps, suspension parts etc. In many cases the original casting can be used to make a mold for a 1 off, or we will make pattern to suit, and then make a small run of castings.
